The Freedom Chicken Story
The story goes that around ten years ago a famous french designer went on holiday to Southern Africa and spotted these 'freedom' chickens on the road side. Smitten by them, he ordered 1000 pieces to line the catwalk on one of his Parisian fashion shows.
If this ever actually happen we're not sure but we are very pleased to be able to support the township artisans who make them!
The chickens are made from plastic which is either recycled bags or factory over-runs.
Colours and designs of the chicken vary.
